We all remember those days when pubs closed early doors and if you were lucky enough you had that memorable lock in. Come down tonight and get locked in. We'll celebrate the new year and play some classic tunes. Avoid the chaos and crowds - the first 50  people in can stay! Happy New Year!! 

Well the Xmas beers have left the shelves for another year, goodbye and farewell. Lets hope you were some of the lucky ones who got to try some. The house is still in christmas mode on the lead up to new year, so we are keeping on a few winter draughts including Delirium Xmas 10%, Nice Chouffe 10% and Gordon's Xmas 8.8%. 
Our home-made mulled wine is still available throughout December, £3.50 a glass - fancy making it at home then download our recipe below.  

A new year brings new plans and ideas. So to start we aim to bring you a new food menu within the next week. Also there will be a collection of new breweries appearing on the shop shelves, this week check out the Bristol Beer Factory and Fyne Ales, we'll keep you informed on all the new ales that hit  our shelves.  Please let us know what you would like to see in The Madness, we do have access to well over 10,000 product lines but obviously we can't stock them all! Our draught beers will continue to change reflecting on the current season, the Christmas selection was a fantastic range of Belgium winter brews, watch out for the White Stout 7.5% from Durham and a collection of excellent IPA's. The Madness Chamber will start to be developed and hopefully open for spring - What is the Madness Chamber? Well we are not quite sure yet - it will in some part be luxury medieval accommodation overlooking the minster, it will be available to rent alongside our Madness Cottage. The Cottage is being expanded to accommodate 4 people from Spring onwards, new bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and a real fire (It's getting pretty booked now so hurry!).
