Well Durham Brewery have done it again - Something Blue 10% for the Royal Wedding was superb and we will have Draught Jubilate 6.5% on for the Jubilee. Can't wait for the beer, err not the Jubilee!!! Alcohol Content: 6.5% Colour: Pale Type: Modern American style India Pale Ale Origin Originally a style that was exported to India before it was possible to brew in India. At the beginning of the 19th century IPA was the beer of choice for our troops in India. Coming from England, it had to be strongly hopped to last the journey, therefore IPAs are defined by their hoppiness. Tasting Notes This modern American IPA has a fresh grassy and perfumy aroma that develops from extended maturation with dry hopping. Pale with a full, rich body topped with orange, coriander and subtle ginger flavours. Innovative modern beer but smooth and subtle with vat maturation on the final ingredients. Recommendations Drink on its own so that its rich complexity is fully appreciated. The large 500ml bottle is ample to share. For a full development of character keep for at least six months.
