​Balance Jam Wild Ale with Damsons // 6.2% Abv // 750ml

The base of this beer is a blend of two barrel fermented beers brewed last June. The wild ale has then aged for a further four months on British damsons which underwent a carbonic maceration for a week. Finally, it has been conditioned in bottle for three months.

Balance have been blown away by the array of flavours and aromas coming from this beer. Expressive cranberry tartness and jammy hedgerow berries are lifted by a champagne-like effervesence and tannic structure. There’s wood, funk and an absolutely incredible marzipan note from the damson stones. This is not one to miss!

Balance make mixed-culture, barrel fermented beer in Manchester. They've both worked in some of Manchester's best breweries over the past five years, now they thought it was about time they put something of their own together.
